...sign of our times...

Upon being handed a journal as a gift, a nine year-old asks his mom what it was. The mom says that it was a notebook to record his thoughts and feelings, every day. The kid replies, "You mean, it is a blog...on paper." Reader's Digest, Oct 2008 issue

Technical Analysis of positions held

Disclaimer: This is what I follow currently. Use at your own risk! REPEAT: The RISK is ENTIRELY yours.

General guideline: Use technical analysis (TA) to enter or exit trades AFTER a fundamentals analysis. For e.g., entering long BAC (due to TA) knowing that rising unemployment will impact the banking sector soon may not be wise.

As of 11/13/09

GLD Tech Analysis is ok. Prob. mkt determines more on an emotional basis. Price ROC shows 66%. Trend Bearish.
GMMA:
Shortterm (ST) EMAs accelerating. Firmly trending upward.
Longterm (LT) EMAs accelerating too.
H-A: Uptrending

11/20/09: I think GLD is hammering out a base here at the 112 level. It might trade sideways a little, but going up going forward. Considering 135 Mar Call options. Selling for $1.20 now. Or the other one will be 140 Mar Call for $0.90. GMMA and H-A are looking good.

AUY Williams R best indicator (in Back testing), 1220, Trend: Bullish
GMMA: ST up, LT UP, accelerating
H-A: still up, slowing down

11/20/09: This is one fiery stock. It seems anxious to rise higher. Perhaps, adding to my Dec 13 Call options is justified. But, the GMMA and the H-A seem to be slowing down.

AZK — Williams R best indicator (in Back testing), 1363, Trend: Bullish
GMMA: Up, but the ST is just breaking out. The 10/12/15 day lines are bunched together.
H-A: Uptrend

11/19/09: I got out of this stock’s options, too much spread for my liking.

GMMA: Clearly Bearish.
H-A: Sideways, Bearish

BAC — Williams R best indicator (in Back testing), 4266 Trend: Bullish
GMMA: ST below the LT, uptrend.

JAVITA the best, Bullish 1431%, Williams R: 1308 Bullish
GMMA: ST below LT, but accelerating upward.
H-A: Seems to be an uptrend, but paused for a day
